Maths makes music
RICHARD Gill, who gained international recognition for his extensive work in music education will present sessions on the relationship between maths and music.
Maths in theory and notation will be covered as well as the reasons why certain pieces of music end up being more popular and mainstream due to their mathematical structure.
Prep to grade six students will get to see music and maths from a whole different point of view.

Animals invade the market
FROM crocodiles and alpacas to mummy and baby rabbits, animals will take over the Dandenong market over five themed days throughout May, turning the market place into the ultimate destination for future farmers and budding zoologists.
– Every Sunday in May, 11am to 3pm in the Market Square Dandenong. 17 May is tooth and talons themed, amazing reptiles will take over on May 24 and cow milking will be available on the 31st of May.
Talkin’ Bees
DR KEN Walker will hold a talk on native bees and their role in pollination. Bees are facing problems worldwide and Dr Walker will provide listeners with good habitat and food plants to plant for them.

Scottish and Celtic Heritage Day
