A self-defence class raised cash for a good cause in Endeavour Hills.
The Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre hosted the program for women on Saturday 20 May.
It donated the $5 participation fee to the YMCA Open Doors Charity which provides underprivileged people with access to YMCA-managed facilities in Casey.
The day was designed to foster community engagement and provide a program to help improve safety through self-defence skills.
Fifteen people took part and the centre received requests to run the course for teens and another centre user group.
Fund-raiser is the best form of defence
