Doveton College is hosting a free Men’s Night Out to promote health and wellbeing.
It’s working with the YMCA on the Wednesday 14 June information evening, which will mark International Men’s Health Week.
Former AFL footballer Ted Whitten Junior will be the night’s guest speaker.
This year’s theme, Healthy Body – Healthy Mind: Keeping the Balance, explores the different ways that men and boys are keeping physically and emotionally healthy in a busy and sometimes challenging world.
YMCA area manager Barry Harrison said it was important to have conversations around men’s health.
“This event will create the right setting for conversations about the elements that make us healthy – life, purpose, health and wellness and everything in between,” he said.
The Men’s Night Out will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Email tori.norris@ymca.org.au for more information.
