Schooled in Polish culture

A new school in Endeavour Hills is spreading the Polish language, history and culture.
Paul Edmund Strzelecki Melbourne Polish School opened at St Paul Apostle South Catholic School in February.
Almost 100 students aged from three to 15 years old attend lessons each Saturday morning.
They have access to Polish text books and work with ethnic radio station 3ZZZ to present a show about Polish customs, traditions and multicultural experience every third Saturday evening of the month on 92.3 FM.
Local Polish community members Anna Polgar and Jolanta Styczen made the not-for-profit school a reality, along with St Paul’s principal Paul Gleeson.
The Polish students have access to classrooms with modern digital equipment and a sports complex.
School tours are available from 9.30am to 1pm on Saturdays.
