Car torched off freeway

A HOLDEN Commodore sedan was torched on the nature strip between Rebecca Street and the Monash Freeway on Sunday.
The 2004 model was valued at around $10,000 and was stolen from an address in Mooroolbark on Thursday 23 July and set alight between the sound barriers in Doveton.
The entire car was engulfed in the blaze and police believe the fire was started from inside the car.
CFA extinguished the blaze and police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
