Police charged a 25-year-old Eumemmering man over an alleged sexual assault in Seaford.
He’ll answer charges of rape, sexual assault, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury and common assault following an incident near Seaford North Reserve on 1 April involving a 19-year-old woman.
Sexual Crimes Squad detectives laid the charges on Wednesday 23 August.
The man was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday 25 August.
